The press box is right behind the dugouts at Stamford Bridge, so journalists love to give us an insight on what the managers are doing.

In this case the answer is… not a lot. Julien Laurens noted that Thomas Tuchel has been seated for the whole game, watching a dull first half from his spot on the bench.

As he points out, that’s particularly unusual for the German coach, who is usually very active. Is it the tepid performance making Tuchel sluggish, or is it the other way around?

Such a poor first half from Chelsea. Thomas Tuchel is clearly bored. He stayed sat down the whole 45 minutes, which is not like him at all. Not a word for his players, the referee, the 4th referee. Nothing.
