Cole Palmer has picked up where he left off last season and has made a brilliant start to the new campaign with six goals and five assists in the first seven games.
Despite Chelsea adding to their forward ranks this summer by signing Jadon Sancho, Joao Felix and Pedro Neto it very much feels like Palmer is still the main man.
The 22-year-old became the first player in Premier League history to score four goals in the first half of a game in Chelsea’s 4-2 win against Brighton and on Tuesday he was named England’s Player of the Year.
Palmer’s statistics since he left Manchester City for Chelsea have been nothing short of incredible and since the start of last season he’s made 44 goal contributions, more than any other player in the league.

Only Erling Haaland has scored more goals than Palmer this season, with Bukayo Saka the only player to have more assists than the Chelsea man so far this campaign.
Seeing Palmer’s name near the top of stats isn’t uncommon and as per Whoscored Palmer leads the way in yet another stat as he’s created the most chances from open play in the league this season, with Bernardo Silva and Saka rounding out the top three.
