Thiago Silva has had to join the queue of captains at Chelsea, but he’s clearly the most inspirational and experienced head in the dressing room, and his influence on his younger teammates is clear.

After a dire run Silva must be feeling the pressure, and he posted a photo of him playing against Leicester on Tuesday with a motivational caption to try and get he and his teammates up for it.

“Nobody said it was going to be easy,” he mused in the caption of his latest post.

“A lot of effort, determination, courage and dedication is required to win. That’s why we will not give up. Everything happens for a reason.”

Let’s hope he’s right! We can’t wait to find out the “reason” for that performance on Tuesday.
