Chelsea were finally back in Premier League action at the weekend after a month and Thiago Silva played well enough to be included in WhoScored’s team of the week.

It was a great performance in the end, but it could so almost have been a disaster.

The yellow card he got for handling the ball could have been a red, and then we’d all be signing a different song.

As it was, he stayed on and played well in a 4 man back line to keep Chelsea in a position to nick it late on.
