Manchester United star Paul Pogba contradicts Mino Raiola in post-Burnley comments

According to The Mirror, Manchester United star Paul Pogba has revealed that he is happy at the club, at least for now.

This contradicts the claims of his agent Mino Raiola. He revealed that the Frenchman is unhappy and is seeking a way out of Old Trafford.

The comments caused much anger given that they came on the eve of United’s do or die Champions League game against RB Leipzig. The Germans eventually prevailed by knocking us out of Europe’s top competition.

“Today we won so I’m very happy. I’m happy we played well and happy we are at the top.”

The player to his credit has not added to Raiola’s comments since and has instead done his talking on the pitch. His performances have gone up a notch and has emerged as one of our key players over the last few weeks.

Pogba was at it once again against Burnley at Turf Moor yesterday night. His second-half strike made the difference as United went top of the table.

“I’m always happy when I win.”

A long way to go!

Although happy, Pogba has cautioned against getting ahead of ourselves. With more than half a season to go, United have a long way to go before they can celebrate.

“It’s still a long way to go, there are big games coming up, so we have to focus on that, too.”

With Liverpool up next, United will face a true test of their title credentials. Jurgen Klopp’s side are unbeaten at Anfield since 2017.

Beating Liverpool will not be easy. But Ole Gunnar Solskajer has so far proven all his critics wrong.

United and Liverpool face off twice in the coming week after being drawn against each other in the FA Cup fourth round. Klopp is currently unbeaten against the United boss going into the game this Saturday.

There is no better place than Anfield to rectify that.
