I’m not the only one who is angry with Sandro Tonali | OneFootball

I am well cheesed off with Sandro Tonali.

I think he has completely taken the mick out of Newcastle United after his big money move from AC Milan last summer.

Sandro Tonali was banned in late October 2023 from playing all football for 10 months, after extensive football betting whilst a Milan player.

This ruled Tonali out for the remainder of this season having only been involved in 12 games as a Newcastle United player.

He is also going to miss the Euros with the defending holders Italy this summer.

Now it has emerged that the English FA have charged Tonali with betting on football since joining Newcastle United, for ‘placing bets on football matches between 12 August 2023 and 12 October 2023.’

It’s not good at all and god knows if his ban will be extended.

Before anyone accuses of me of being heartless regarding Sandro’s gambling addiction, let me tell you all that I have also had my own demons to contend with and try to overcome down the years.

All addictions are serious and personal and I’ve never used mine as an excuse for the mistakes that I shouldn’t have made regardless.

Sandro Tonali is going to find it very hard when he is eventually allowed back on a football pitch.

This whole deal has turned into a nightmare and the NUFC  owners will not be at all pleased.

It is the worst thing that could have happened at Newcastle United as we navigate around FFP restraints, the Profit and Sustainability Rules.

I know after discussing this matter with my fellow Toon fans, friends and family, I’m not the only one angry with Sandro Tonali.
