Manchester United’s resumption of the 2019/20 Premier League campaign did not go according to plans as Tottenham managed to hold us to a 1-1 draw. Steven Bergwijn scored for the Lilywhites in the first period, before a Bruno Fernandes penalty leveled things late in the game.

De Gea was partly culpable for Tottenham’s goal as he got hands to the ball but couldn’t divert it away from the net. And Keano was hardly pleased by his performances. Lashing out at the Spaniard, the former United captain said (h/t Mirror):

“I am sick to death of this goalkeeper, I would be flying in at half time. I would be swinging punches at that guy. This is a standard save for a standard, international goalkeeper. I am flabbergasted.”

Reacting to his former teammate and captain’s rant, Solskjaer post the game, hit back at Keane while defending his goalkeeper. (h/t Mirror)

“David did really well. Roy was a fantastic midfielder and he’s a good friend of mine. But I’m not sure he’d have stopped it either.”

It wasn’t the most ideal of results for us. It now gives fourth-placed Chelsea to increase the gap between the two teams on Sunday when they play Aston Villa.

Hopefully, de Gea and the rest of the team is able to step it up in another crunch clash against Sheffield United on Wednesday.
