Chelsea will now move on to their final league game of the season next weekend away at Nottingham Forest, and it’s another game they have to win the secure Champions League qualification.
This Sunday sees the Champions League playoff games. Not officially, but that is what they are being referred to as because there are so many teams involved and it is so close in the race for the top five and of course, this is where you need to finish if you want Champions League football next season.
Chelsea play Nottingham Forest away, with both teams fighting for said place.
Jamie Carragher speaking on Sky Sports.
Jamie Carragher said: “I think Chelsea and Nottingham Forest might both miss out. I can see that being a draw at the weekend.
“I’m not sure Chelsea have got the character and personality to go there and win.”
And Gary Neville said:”They [Nottingham Forest] will give Chelsea a tough day, 100%. I’m not sure Chelsea can go there and win, I’ll be really honest with you.
“I think if Aston Villa win, they’ll get into the Champions League because I think Forest will take points off Chelsea.”
