Paris Saint-Germain managed to bring in Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan on a free transfer, hoping he would fortify their defense. Yet, as he settles into his first season in Paris, it’s proving to be quite a challenging ride for him.

A recent report from L’Equipe revealed that the veteran defender could be one and done after moving from San Siro to the Parc des Princes last year. Internally, the club would not be satisfied and would be looking for a central defender.

In his column for CaughtOffside, transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano provided an update on Skriniar and whether or not the Slovakian intends to leave the French capital.

“Despite reports, I’m not aware of any request from Milan Skriniar to leave Paris Saint-Germain so far,” Romano wrote. “Of course Skriniar would like to play more and be a starter, but he’s returning from an injury and it was his first season at PSG, so it will take some time and it’s normal.”

The Parisians had already begun revamping the central defense with the arrival of Lucas Beraldo. PSG are also reportedly in on various defenders to improve the position, and whether or not they land top targets such as LOSC Lille’s Leny Yoro remains to be seen.
