Teenager joins the attacking ranks

The club’s doors have opened to welcome a huge European talent to northern Italy as Iker Bravo is now officially an Udinese player, having made the switch from Bayer Leverkusen on a permanent deal, with a contract that runs until 30 June 2028.

Creativity and quality are in abundance for a modern forward who is set to enhance the team’s attacking output as one of the most sought-after youngsters in the continental market. Bravo has the ability to play as a dynamic striker, start out wide or as an attacking midfielder to link the play with his unpredictability. His array of qualities earned him UEFA’s Player of the Tournament accolade in the last under-19 European Championships from which Spain emerged victorious thanks to his winning goal in the final.

Born on 13 January 2005 in the Catalan town of San Cugat del Valles, Bravo started to showcase his talent at Barcelona’s illustrious La Masia, where he stayed until turning 16 in 2021 when German giants Bayer Leverkusen tempted him with a move to the Bundesliga, where he made his senior debut at just 16 years of age in a 1-1 stalemate with Hertha Berlin.

It was back to Spain at the end of that season when Real Madrid swooped in with a loan deal to take him to Castilla, where he bagged three goals in four appearances in the Youth League.

The forward stayed in Madrid in 2023/24, converting three times in seven Youth League games. Since a young age, Bravo has been involved in the Spain youth set-up, boasting 11 goals in 14 caps at under-17 level and two in 15 run-outs for the under-19s, culminating in European championship success in July 2024.

Bienvenido, Iker!
