Igor Paixão wants to join Marseille instead of Leeds United

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Igor Paixão (25) would prefer to join Marseille this summer instead of Leeds United. Both clubs have submitted offers to sign the Brazilian attacker from Feyenoord.

The 25-year-old has already reached an agreement on personal terms with OM to move to the Stade Vélodrome. However, negotiations between the Eredivisie club and the Ligue 1 club have hit a significant stumbling block. Fabrice Hawkins understands that the Dutch club are not impressed with Les Phocéens’ latest offer for the attacker and are standing firm on their asking price. Leeds United and Marseille have both submitted offers for Paixão’s services in the region of €30m.

Negotiations to sign the attacker are ongoing as Marseille and Feyenoord try to find an agreement. However, whilst negotiations continue, Paixão’s agent continues to promote the player’s availability to other clubs and has told Roma that his client would be interested in moving to the Italian capital.
