It has been reported that Liverpool are interested in Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland.
With that being the case, Alf Ingve Berntsen, Haaland’s first ever football coach, has advised the 20-year-old to join the Reds if the opportunity arises.
“If I had to decide, I’d go for Liverpool because that’s my club – but I don’t decide!” Alf Ingve Berntsen told the Liverpool Echo, as cited by Anfield Watch’s Twitter account.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
Liverpool would be an incredible club to play for. The club possesses so much history.
Also, it is worth mentioning that the fans are absolutely superb. The supporters get right behind the players.
There is a reason why the Anfield crowd is known as the 12th man. The striker has scored 49 goals in 51 appearances for Borussia Dortmund.
Every footballer wants to feel loved, and there is no denying that Haaland would be loved by the Liverpool supporters if he scored goals for the club.
Going by what Haaland is currently achieving at Borussia Dortmund, we are pretty confident that he would be regular goalscorer for the Reds.
Hopefully Liverpool make a move for the forward come the summer.
