Zlatan Ibrahimović scored a brace as Milan moved top of the Serie A table with a 2-1 win over Inter in the Derby della Madonnina.
Scorers: Lukaku 29′, ; Ibrahimović 13′, 16′.
An energetic Milan stunned Inter with two goals in the first 16 minutes of the game.
Ibrahimović’s penalty was well-saved by Samir Handanović but sadly for the Slovenian the rebound fell directly to the 39-year-old to force over the line.
The Swede was on hand again to double Milan’s lead when he poked him Rafael Leao’s sublime cross after a stunning counter-attack.
Inter got themselves back into the game when Romelu Lukaku tapped Ivan Perišić’s cross into an empty net after Gianlugi Donnarumma had failed to claim the ball.
Lukaku and Donnarumma were at the centre of more drama in the second half.
The Milan keeper fouled the Belgian to give away a penalty before VAR had alerted the referee to the fact that Lukaku was offside as the ball fell to him in the area.
Milan’s 100% start to the Serie A season continues with Inter remaining in sixth.
