Ivorian international central midfielder Ibrahim Sangaré has a provisional agreement with PSG ahead of a possible summer transfer window from Dutch 1st division outfit PSV, according to our colleagues at Sports Zone.
PSV have told the player that he will be allowed to leave this summer in the event that an acceptable proposal is made.
The 25-year-old, who has played in Ligue 1 before with Toulouse FC, has continued to impress European scouts this season, despite Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men not competing for the Eredivisie.
Luís Campos has been a fan of the player for several months, and attempted to sign him last summer, but the budget was instead allocated to the acquisition of Vitinha from FC Porto.
Whilst Sangaré has an agreement in principle with Les Parisiens, a deal is by no means a sure thing. There are ongoing tensions between PSG and PSV – the Dutch side will accept to sell Sangaré to Les Parisiens if the French side drops their buy-back clause on Dutch international midfielder Xavi Simons.
Earnie Stewart, who is taking the lead position of Sporting Director of PSV in the next two weeks, has been informed of Campos’ tactics to attempt to sign Johan Bakayoko back in January and does not appreciate them, the outlet claims.
The negotiations are likely going to be difficult and some form of diffusing tension is understood to be necessary.
