Former Roma goalkeeper Daniel Fuzato completed a summer switch to Ibiza from the Italian capital after spending four years with the Giallorossi and is now enjoying the fruit of his labor, as declared by Ibiza director Matteo Pio Quitadamo in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb.
“Daniel chose this project with enthusiasm. There is a huge difference between being the second-choice keeper in Rome and being the first in the second Spanish division, but Fuzato has a great time here and he is an exceptional guy,” Quitadamo said of the 24-year-old who has made 12 appearances so far this season and kept three clean sheets.
“We are located on a very particular island, where a player is able to grow in a much quieter way and without too much pressure. Fuzato has gone from one of the loudest places in the world to a reality where the private sphere of a football player does not fail as it does in Italy.”
“He chose Ibiza to grow and in the first 12-13 league match-days he was one of the best shot-stoppers. That’s no coincidence, Daniel Fuzato does not regret leaving Roma.”
