Liverpool would like to play a pre-season friendly against Rangers this summer, according to This is Anfield, as cited by Twitter account @Watch_LFC.

The game would reportedly take place at Anfield. As you can see below, some Liverpool fans have reacted to the aforementioned news via Twitter.

We agree with the aforementioned responses. We would love to see Liverpool play against Rangers in a pre-season friendly.

It would be pretty cool seeing Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool come up against Steven Gerrard’s Rangers.

Gerrard is a Liverpool legend, so it would be nice to see the 41-year-old return to Anfield.

Also, Rangers would give Liverpool some decent practice heading into the 2021-22 campaign. Rangers are the reigning champions of Scotland after all.

It has been suggested in the media that Gerrard could be Klopp’s successor. With that being the case, it would be good to watch a side managed by Gerrard in the flesh.

We could get an idea of how Liverpool might play under Gerrard. Of course, we haven’t forgotten that Gerrard still has to be offered the job.
