The Turkish winger has not featured at all this season, and a departure is needed soon.
This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more...
Hull City had one of the busiest January transfer windows in the EFL, and Ruben Selles was given the opportunity to make major changes to his squad ahead of the run-in.
It has not been the easiest of seasons for the Tigers, and after narrowly missing out on the play-offs in 2023/24, they have fallen into a relegation battle for this campaign.
However, they brought in a number of new stars during the winter, and the final third of the season looks as though it will be a lot brighter for the East Yorkshire side. The signing of Louie Barry in particular shows their ambition, and they will be hoping that the Aston Villa loanee can help fire them back up the league table in the coming months.
However, there are still players at the club that need moving on, and with the Turkish transfer window still open, Hull may just have the chance to let go of an out-of-favour winger.
Dogukan Sinik has not made an apperance for the Tigers at all in the 2024/25 campaign, and he has spent a lot of his time in the treatment room.
The decision to bring the 26-year-old to the MKM Stadium was a bizarre one at the time, and it has not paid off. He has played just 13 times in total in amber-and-black, and there may be a desire to see him leave the club permanently in the coming days.
The transfer window is open in Türkiye until 11 February, and Football League World has asked their Hull Fan Pundit, Ryan Frankish, if he believes the club should be trying to push the winger out before the deadline.
He told FLW: "I think Dogukan Sinik has to be the top priority in terms of getting him out. But at this point, nobody’s interested in him.
"The only side that I have seen have a lingering interest was one in the second division of Türkiye, so I can't imagine they're going to pay any sort of fee, bearing in mind the likes of Trabzonspor and Beskitas, who are quite big, only stretch to about £5m."
Ryan continued: "I just think he's destined to sit on the sidelines with us because it's been that long and I don't think anyone will go for him.
"I'd like to be proven wrong, but I think he'll just leave on a free."
Although selling Sinik is a new priority, this is a situation for the board and not Selles himself. The Spaniard has enough to worry about on the pitch at the moment, and he can not allow his team to be distracted by the winger.
Hull have a squad that is more than capable of catching back up to the midfield pack, and they must quickly get themselves out of any danger of relegation as dropping to League One would see the project at the MKM Stadium held back greatly.
Inconsistency has been the greatest issue for the Tigers in recent weeks, but their superb 3-0 win over Sheffield United two weeks ago was proof that they have more than enough quality in their squad to avoid the drop.
