“I knew he was born for Chelsea” – Fellow Blues coach heaps praise on Thomas Tuchel | OneFootball

At Chelsea right now there is a really collective respect and admiration amongst our current coaches for the work they all do.

Both our Men’s and Women’s head coaches won ‘The Best’ award at FIFA this week which once again just reiterate the quality of management we have across the board at this club from the very top right down to youth levels.

Emma Hayes has been working absolute wonders with the Women’s team in the last few seasons, but she has been equally in admiration for her Men’s counterpart, Thomas Tuchel.

The pair received their awards this week and Hayes was full of praise for Tuchel in her interview after accepting her award, as reported on the Chelsea website.

She says that she knew that Tuchel was Chelsea material the moment she met him, saying that he was born for the club.

“The minute he came to Chelsea, I knew he was born for Chelsea, and he knows it as well,” Hayes said.

“He knows what it is to be a manager of Chelsea, and not many of us get that privilege. But he’s great to watch, he’s a lot of fun, his team’s amazing to watch, and I’m just grateful that we’ve got him at the club. Lucky us!”

Lucky us indeed, to have them both at our club!
