Tottenham celebrate after their win over Wolves

The game saw Nuno Espirito Santo rotating some of the players and hand chances to some of the fringe players. Among them was Pierluigi Gollini who has been playing in the cup games this season since signing for the side from Atalanta. Gollini was powerless to stop the goals from open play but played an important part in the shootout.

He managed to get close to saving the first effort from Hwang Hee-Chan but it went in off his glove. His anger was visible after that and he elaborated on the same.

“I was angry with myself. I said ‘I’ve got to save another one’ because if we lose because I don’t save that one then I’m going to regret it so much. I knew he was going there, I felt it and I was right but I couldn’t save it. I thought I had to save at least another one.”
