Tottenham Hotspur defender Japhet Tanganga has admitted one summer signing left him stunned before he left on loan for Millwall.
It has been a tricky few years for the academy graduate and he, once again, finds himself away from the club on another loan.
However, before he left for The Den, he did have time to catch a glimpse of £35m summer signing Micky van de Ven.

It has been an impressive start to life at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the 22-year-old defender and it is apparent his teammates have also been left wowed.
Tanganga is now onto his second loan of the term after a failed move to Germany saw his time with Augsburg cut short.
However, before he left for the Bundesliga, he told Sky Sports that he still had time to hear about the speed and quality which Van de Ven was showing at Hotspur Way:
“I didn’t know he was that quick!” he said.
“When I was there I was going through my rehab so didn’t see him training, but I spoke to some of the boys and asked how fast he is.
“But you can see his quality as well. They spoke about him in Germany as well, because obviously he came to Spurs from there, about how good he was.”

A lot has been made of Van de Ven’s stunning start to life in England, and rightfully so.
The Dutchman has been clocked as the fastest player in Premier League history, but he has added a lot more to Ange Postecoglou’s side that just pace.
He has formed a partnership with Cristian Romero which looks like it could be the focal point of our defence for years to come.
It is a far cry from the direction which Tanganga’s career in N17 is going.
The 24-year-old will have just one-year remaining on his deal with the club upon his return from Millwall and with additions of Radu Dragusin and Ashley Phillips, it is hard to see a way in to the side for him.
Perhaps this loan deal is less of a make or break for his future at Spurs, but more so an opportunity to put himself on display ahead of the summer window.
