Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has had a tough season.

The 27-year-old has only made 14 appearances for Liverpool this season. Oxlade-Chamberlain has been linked with a move away from Anfield.

However, journalist Ian Doyle does not see the club selling Oxlade-Chamberlain unless he wants to go or a big offer comes in.

As cited by Anfield Watch’s Twitter account, Doyle told the Liverpool Echo the following: “Unless a big offer comes in or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain wants to go, I can see him staying.”

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Back in the summer of 2017, Liverpool signed Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal for a transfer fee of €38 million.

Since then, the Englishman has scored 13 goals and registered 11 assists in 101 appearances for the club. He has proven to be quite a handy player for the Reds.

But, there is no denying that Oxlade-Chamberlain has struggled when he has played this season. Oxlade-Chamberlain is averaging a WhoScored player rating of 6.12 across the 2020-21 campaign.

However, Oxlade-Chamberlain missed the first four months of the season due to injury. Therefore, he is miles behind the others in terms of fitness and training.

With that being the case, we would like to see Oxlade-Chamberlain be given another chance at Anfield. That is providing that he wants to stay at the club.
