“I am expecting big things”: Liverpool legend has high expectations for Reds forward | OneFootball

Last season wasn’t exactly Sadio Mane’s best season in a Liverpool shirt, he’ll be the first to tell you that, but the forthcoming campaign offers him the chance to bounce back. And Jamie Carragher expects him to do just that.

As quoted by Anfield Watch, Jamie Carragher said: “I am expecting a big season from [Sadio] Mane. He didn’t have his best season but he’s looking really sharp in pre-season, hopefully he can be the guy who can plug that gap in terms of goals.”

With full capacity crowds back in football stadiums, we can’t see why Mane would not return to his best form, especially with the the Anfield faithful signing his name.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

With a much-needed holiday before a full pre-season under his belt, Sadio Mane should be ready to go once again this season. Any struggles last season should quickly become memories left in the past as the Senegalese winger returns to his best.

Arguably, when Sadio Mane is firing on all cylinders, so are Liverpool. His form may well play a big part in how the season goes.
