Hwang Hee-chan urges Rúben Neves to stay at Wolves

Hwang Hee-chan has urged Rúben Neves to stay at Wolves despite growing links with Barcelona.

Neves hinted at his potential departure by admitting that he still harbours ambitions of playing in the Champions League.

But Hwang is still hopeful of the Portugal international remaining at Molineux, where his contract is entering the final 12 months.

“We don’t know if he will leave or he will stay, but I hope he stays. It’s not just me – every player wants Rúben to stay here,” said Hwang.

“He’s such an amazing player – as captain, as player and as a person. He’s done so many things well for us, that I just want to play with him.

“I just think he’s the best player for us and for these fans.”

Neves has made over 250 appearances for Wolves during a six-year spell where he also contributed 30 goals and 13 assists.
