Ahead of RC Strasbourg Alsace’s Ligue 1 fixture against Stade Rennais on Sunday, fans of Les Alsaciens, led by ultras group ‘Ultra Boys 90’, protested against the club’s BlueCo owners.
Unrest has defined BlueCo’s time at Strasbourg. Since the American owners, who also own Premier League side Chelsea, took over in the summer of 2023, fan protests have become the norm. Whether it be in the stands of the Meinau or through a series of communiqués, fans of RCSA have done their utmost to get their discontent heard.
This latest protest, which was attended by hundreds of fans, according to France Bleu Alsace, was planned weeks in advance. In a lengthy communiqué, which called for BlueCo to leave the club, Ultra Boys 90 announced a march towards the Meinau: “BlueCo out! To all of those who love RCSA, we will see you on 31st March, when we face Rennes, at 15:00 to march together towards the stadium and protest our rejection of BlueCo,” concluded the statement.

Led by Ultra Boys 90, hundreds of fans marched from the offices of the supporters federation, towards the Meinau. “This fight isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon. It could be very long” and “We don’t want BlueCo”, were amongst the messages spread during the march.
