Besiktas are interested in signing Hull City midfielder Ozan Tufan, Turkish journalist Sercan Dikme has reported.

Tufan only joined Hull in the summer transfer window, moving to the MKM Stadium from another Turkish giant in the form of Fenerbahce.

Did Hull City play on Boxing Day in 2021?

Yes No

Now though, it seems the 27-year-old is already attracting interest again, around a potentially swift return to Turkey.

According to this latest update from Dikme, Besiktas have held talks with Hull about the possible signing of Tufan in the January transfer window.

it is thought that any deal would be difficult to do, due to the fact that the midfielder is seen as an important player in Liam Rosenior’s side.

Tufan signed a three-year contract with Hull, who have the option to extend by a further 12 months, in the summer, meaning the Tigers will be under no pressure to sell him in January.

The Verdict

It is no surprise that this interest is emerging in Tufan from Turkey.

The midfielder has a very good record in his home country, where he has shown time and again that he can be a rather useful asset.

As a result, with Hull currently in a somewhat precarious position in the Championship table, it does make sense for clubs to potentially try their luck over a deal for him.

However, Tufan has impressed for the Tigers this season, so you can understand their reluctance to lose him, especially when his contract situation means there is no pressure on them to do so from a financial perspective.
