Hull City, QPR and West Brom are all looking at a move for a midfielder on the books at a Premier League club, according to the Daily Telegraph.
All three Championship teams are aiming to strengthen their squads before the transfer window slams shut at the end of the month.
Bolstering their midfields is on the agenda and Hull, QPR and West Brom have their eye on Newcastle United.
Magpies midfielder Isaac Hayden is free to move on from St James’ Park this summer as he is not in Eddie Howe’s plans.
A loan move is expected to be the method by which Hayden moves on.
Hayden had two loan stints away from Newcastle over the course of last season with time spent in Belgium at Standard Liege and in the Championship at QPR.
With QPR still keen, a return to Loftus Road may suit the 29-year-old.
Hayden joined Newcastle from Arsenal in 2016 and is still under contract at St James’ Park for another two seasons.
