Hull City are making a late attempt to sign Hibernian midfielder Murray Aiken ahead of tonight’s transfer deadline.
That is according to Sky Sports News’ Anthony Joseph, who reports that the Tigers have made a bid for the 18-year-old.
Aiken is said to be able to play in both midfield and defence, with Hull City eyeing a permanent move for the versatile player.
Murray Aiken first broke through into the senior side at Hibs last season, when he made a single appearance for the Scottish club’s senior side.
This season, though, he has mainly featured for their youth sides, namely in the UEFA Youth League, where he has made four appearances.
As per Transfermarkt, the 18-year-old’s current deal at Easter Road runs until the summer, although it is unclear whether or not the Scottish side have any options to extend this further.

If Hibernian were to lose Aiken, it would be the second player to depart the Scottish club for the Championship with his deal due to expire in the summer after Ryan Porteous recently made the switch to Watford.
Elsewhere, Hull City are said to be working on deals to sign Xavier Simons and Konrad de la Fuente.
It would be a shame for Hibernian to lose another young player, albeit Aiken is yet to have much of an impact at first team level.
If Hull want to sign him, though, clearly the Tigers see talent there.
His reported versatility could also be an appealing factor to the Championship side.
With just hours remaining of the window, it remains to be seen whether the Tigers can get the transfer done, or indeed if Hibernian will entertain such a deal.
