Liam Rosenior has confirmed that he would like to work with Malcolm Ebiowei again after reports surfaced regarding Hull City’s interest in the Crystal Palace winger.

As per a report from Hull Live, the Tigers are keeping an eye on the former Derby County man, who Rosenior knows well from last season.

Ebiowei broke through last season in the Championship under Wayne Rooney and Rosenior’s stewardship, earning himself a Premier League move to Selhurst Park in the summer.

Admitting that he is a player that he will be keeping an eye on with January around the corner, the Tigers boss told Hull Live: “Malcolm’s a very good player.

“He’s a player that I’ve worked with, he’s an exciting player but we have to see what the conditions are in terms of what Crystal Palace want to do with him.

“He’s someone that I would be interested in working with again whether it’s in the short or long term but we haven’t come to make that decision yet.

“Every profile depends on what position, it’s not age, it’s the quality of player that I’m looking for and the most important thing for me is character.

ANDREW ROBERTSON

YES NO

“I want good characters to come into the building. I’ll sit with Lee (Darnbrough), Tan (Kesler) and also the coaching staff.

“We’ve had good meetings out here (in Turkiye) about what we’re looking for and you’ll know at the right time (when we announce) what type of decisions we’ve made in terms of transfers.”

The verdict

Ebiowei played without fear last time out, with Rosenior being a vitally important figure at Pride Park last time out.

It is no surprise that interest is coming from Hull ahead of an important second part of the campaign, with the teenager proving he can make an impact at second-tier level.

It is set to be an interesting window at the MKM Stadium, with the Tigers seemingly needing to move a whole host of players on, whilst they will still be looking to add.

As Rosenior alludes to, it is not just about adding quality players, they need to sign the right characters too in January.
