According to Voetbal International, Hull City and Union Saint-Gilloise are both plotting moves for Utrecht winger Othmane Boussaid. The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the Netherlands this summer, and Utrecht are reportedly happy to let the player leave for the right fee.

Boussaid scored three goals and provided seven in 38 games last season. The former Belgian youth international definitely looks ready for the next step in his career, and his versatility is a big factor in that. Last season, he played on both wings, in attacking midfield and in the centre of midfield.

Several sides are targeting Boussaid, but two seem to be leading the race. Championship club Hull City and Belgian Pro League side Union Saint-Gilloise are both in the battle for Boussaid’s signature. Union have been flirting with the attacker all summer, and Hull have recently intervened. The side that finished 15th in the English second tier last season are said to be particularly impressed by Boussaid’s technical ability, skill and intensity on the ball.

Othmane Boussaid will be out of contract next summer, meaning now is the best time for Utrecht to cash in. It’s expected that he’ll leave the club before the transfer window shuts. Last weekend against Heerenveen, the Belgian was left out of the Matchday squad.
