RB Leipzig announced on Monday that Hugo Novoa will be sent out on loan and will not join the club for their winter training camp in Abu Dhabi as he was not included on the list of the 29-man squad.

The club that Novoa will join is unknown, but the move will help the player gain more game time and continue his development.

Novoa joined Leipzig in 2019 from Deportivo La Coruña and has played a total of 23 games for the senior team, scoring twice. One of his goals came in Leipzig’s 3-3 draw with Augsburg where Novoa scored in the 90th minute to secure a point for Leipzig.

The 19-year-old is versatile and can play on the whole of the right flank whether that be right-wing or right-back.

Other players to miss out on Leipzig’s training camp are Péter Gulácsi, Christopher Nkunku and Timo Schlieck who all miss out through injury.
