Four wins in a row could not turn to five after Michael Beale’s men imploded against Aberdeen in front of home fans.

An unmarked Stefan Gartenmann poked home at the back post off a corner, helping the visitors take the lead as fans booed off Rangers at the break.

Unfortunately, their half-time talk couldn’t conjure up a comeback as the match got much worse for the hosts and Beale will feel the heat.

Birthday boy Jamie McGrath d0ubled Aberdeen’s lead after some pinball in the box before Scott Wright picked up a second yellow and was sent off against his former club.

Abdallah Sima scored his second in as many games with 15 minutes to go, but being a man down Jack McKenzie’s third piled misery on the hosts as more boos echoed.

The stunning result means Rangers sit third in the table, seven points off leaders Celtic who needed a 97th-minute winner of their own to stay unbeaten in the league.
