Yankuba Minteh will be available for Feyenoord ahead of Saturday’s Rotterdam derby with Excelsior, VI reports. The Gambian forward has been one of Feyenoord’s most dangerous attackers this season, but Minteh has missed the last five matches due to a muscle injury. On Friday, head coach Arne Slot revealed that the 19-year-old is back on board.

Minteh has netted three times and provided one assist since joining the Dutch champions on loan from Newcastle United in the summer. The forward, who has been playing professionally for just two years, has helped Feyenoord reach second place in the Eredivisie table as they aim to win their second successive title.

The task of overtaking PSV at the top of the table seems like a tricky one. Peter Bosz’s side have won every league game so far this season and are unstoppable. Feyenoord face PSV at De Kuip next weekend, and with Yankuba Minteh available, they’ll certainly be able to snatch three points.

As well as Minteh, Feyenoord will also have Lutsharel Geertruida available on Saturday. The defender dropped out of the Netherlands squad during the international break due to an injury. Luckily for Feyenoord he’s fit enough to play again.
