Wilson is set to be out for six weeks with a hamstring issue. Botman, meanwhile, may be out until February as a knee operation is being considered.

The double blow adds to a plethora of injuries hitting the club all ahead of a crunch schedule.

Sean Longstaff is still recovering from an ankle issue and remains a doubt for the clash with Chelsea on 25 November, while Harvey Barnes is out for at least another month.

Dan Burn, Jacob Murphy and Matt Targett will also return to action in 2024.

In a slight boost for manager Eddie Howe, Alexander Isak is likely to return to action after the international break, while Miguel Almirón’s muscle injury is not serious.

After Chelsea, Newcastle could be missing the above names against Paris Saint Germain, Manchester United, Everton, Tottenham, Milan and more.
