Callum Hudson-Odoi is reportedly ready to sign a new five-year deal with Chelsea after a ‘major breakthrough’ in negotiations.

The 18-year-old rejected two offers last summer and even one in January, before handing in a transfer request after Bayern Munich expressed an interest.

However, according to Standard Sport, Hudson-Odoi and Chelsea are both happy with how talks have progressed with official renewal confirmation expected shortly.

It’s understood that the winger will earn £100,000-a-week upon signing and inherit the number 10 jersey, soon to be vacated by Eden Hazard.

Chelsea view him as integral to their future and were never ready to sanction a sale, despite a number of top European clubs circling.

Hudson-Odoi is currently sidelined with a ruptured Achilles and faces the reality of not playing until 2020.
