Santiago Bernabeu Stadium
Tchouameni has enjoyed a wonderful campaign at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium after he produced a run of dominant displays for Los Blancos at the centre of the park. The 22-year-old has secured two assists in 18 matches for the Madrid giants this season across various competitions. Tchouameni has been a consistent performer for Real Madrid based on his average of 2.3 tackles, 1.8 interceptions, 1.8 clearances, 1.2 shots, 0.8 key passes and 0.8 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has even been tidy with his ball distribution after making 93.2% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via whoscored).
The talented midfielder will now serve as an important member of France’s squad in this World Cup. He is expected to be one of Les Bleus’ main options for the central midfield spots during the competition.
Tchouameni will fancy taking his good form from club football to the international stage and being a good midfield anchorman for his country away in Qatar.
The 20-year-old has impressed a lot of people with his performances as a substitute for Los Blancos during this campaign. He has managed to form a solid midfield partnership with Tchouameni in both club and international football. Hence, France will also rely on the pair to do well when the World Cup kicks off on November 20.
The Cabinda-born talent deserves credit for featuring in 20 matches for Real Madrid this season in multiple competitions.
