Borussia Dortmund will be in DFB-Pokal second round action on Tuesday evening as they take on VfL Wolfsburg at the Volkswagen Arena.
The Black and Yellows are facing what appears to be a perfect storm at the moment. Borussia Dortmund have made a dismal start to the season and an injury crisis has now seemingly hit the team ahead of their must-win DFB-Pokal second round tie against VfL Wolfsburg.
Nuri Sahin will hope that his make-shift team can get the job done in Wolfsburg, but BVB have been poor away from home and their last away win in Germany came back in August against fourth division side 1. FC Phönix Lübeck.
Wolfsburg haven't enjoyed the best of starts to the season, but Ralph Hasenhüttl still has a number of tools in his arsenal to cause problems to Borussia Dortmund.
Fit again Lovro Majer could cause a few problems to the Borussia Dortmund defenders, while Mohammed Amoura could start up front. BVB loanee Salih Özcan could start in the number six role for Wolfsburg on Tuesday.
For Borussia Dortmund, Serhou Guirassy will have a crucial role to play against Wolfsburg. The striker has been scoring goals for fun since his move to BVB and will hope to lead from the front on Tuesday.
VfL Wolfsburg vs Borussia Dortmund in the second round of the DFB-Pokal will be broadcast live in Germany on Sky Sport. Fans in the United States will be able to watch the game live on ESPN+, and in the United Kingdom the game will be broadcast live on Premier Sports.
