Glasgow giants hold remarkable 3-1 advantage over Jose Mourinho’s side

Rangers are strong favourites to reach the Europa League quarter-finals later today.

While the Gers have been impressive in Europe for a number of years now and reached the final of this competition back in 2022, last week’s win over Fenerbahce was remarkable.

Club legend Barry Ferguson is a relative novice as a manager at this level and despite some mixed domestic form since replacing Philippe Clement on an interim basis last month, Rangers recorded a fantastic 3-1 win away at Jose Mourinho’s side.

The pressure is on Mourinho here. The Turkish giants certainly aren’t out of it yet but have it all to do in front of what promises to be a hostile atmosphere.

Mourinho has made suggestions he could one day manage the likes of Rangers but the Glasgow giants tonight have the chance to make a statement against him.

Win this and there is little reason to fear anyone left in the competition.

Rangers have previous when it comes to reaching the latter stages of this tournament and another deep run would be some way to make up for what has been a bitterly disappointing campaign on the domestic front.

With that in mind, here’s a look at all you need to know about where to watch the game later today.
