A mouthwatering Nations League clash is in store tonight as the Netherlands host Spain in the first leg of their quarter-final showdown.

The Dutch, who reached the semi-final at Euro 2024 face the winners of that competition and will be looking to make home advantage count ahead a daunting trip to the Mestalla on Sunday.

Ronald Koeman’s side finished a distant second to Germany in Group A3, after winning two of their six fixtures. In fact, they head into the game in quite poor form with one win from their last five outings.

Spain, on the other hand, are firing on all cylinders. The current European champions topped their group - that included Denmark and Serbia - with relative ease and have won 14 of their last 15 internationals in a run that stretches back just under a year.

A repeat of the infamous 2010 World Cup final but this clash will surely be remembered for the quality on the pitch with the likes of Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams, Pedri, Xavi Simons, Jorrel Hato, Virgil van Dijk and Jurrien Timber all in contention to feature.

The winners of this tie will advance to the semi-final to face either Croatia or France in June.
