Keely Hodgkinson is the strong favourite to claim crown this year, with Luke Littler also in the running
The latest BBC Sports Personality of the Year will tonight be crowned.
Team GB and Olympics star Keely Hodgkinson is the overwhelming favourite to win the 2024 prize after claiming 800m gold in Paris earlier this year.
Teenage darts sensation Luke Littler, meanwhile, is seen as Hodgkinson’s main rival after a meteoric rise over the past 12 months or so.
Joe Root, Jude Bellingham, Dame Sarah Storey and Alex Yee are also in contention.
The winner will be decided by a public vote and announced at tonight’s ceremony in Salford, Greater Manchester.
TV channel: BBC One will broadcast the ceremony live and free-to-air in the UK. Coverage starts at 7pm GMT, with the winner expected to be announced at 9pm.
Live stream: The BBC Sport website and BBC iPlayer will also air SPOTY online for free.
