The two La Liga heavyweights clash in the Copa del Rey semi-final
Barcelona and Atletico Madrid meet in the Copa del Rey semi-final first-leg tonight.
With both sides embroiled in a fascinating La Liga title race - along with Real Madrid - this is the first of three meetings between the Spanish heavyweights in the space of five weeks.
There could yet be a fourth clash in the Champions League final, but this is Barcelona's opportunity to avenge the league defeat at the hands of Atletico earlier in the campaign.
Tonight’s first-leg will be held at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium, before the Metropolitano Stadium stages the return fixture at the beginning of April. The winners will meet either Real Madrid or Real Sociedad in the final.
Barca are hopeful of having star man Lamine Yamal available for selection following an injury scare at the weekend, whilst Antoine Griezmann is likely to lead the line for Atletico against his former club.
So, will Barcelona - the most successful team in the competition’s history - take an advantage into the second leg or will Atletico emerge victorious over their rivals for a second time this season?
