An insight into the plans of Carlo Ancelotti to make up for the absence of Vinícius Jr. in Real Madrid’s upcoming showdown with Liverpool has on Monday been provided.
Wide-man Vinícius was of course condemned to a spell on the sidelines earlier today.
As confirmed in a statement across Real Madrid’s website and social media platforms, the Brazilian has suffered a thigh injury, which is expected to keep him on the treatment table for a spell of around three weeks.
Vinícius, as a result, has been ruled out of Los Blancos’ upcoming trip to Anfield, to face Liverpool in the Champions League.
So, how do Carlo Ancelotti and his coaching staff intend to cover for the absence of such a key attacking threat?
As per a report from Marca, the plan is for Kylian Mbappé to move out wide, in place of his attacking partner-in-crime.
This will open the door for a fresh entry into Real’s frontline, too, with the absence of Rodrygo meaning that one of Brahim Díaz or Endrick is likely to feature from the off against Liverpool.
