Dan Ndoye will become one of Bologna’s most expensive sales of all time once his transfer to Nottingham Forest is complete, joining the likes of Riccardo Calafiori and Joshua Zirkzee, who also completed big-money moves to the Premier League from the Rossoblu last summer.
According to reports from various outlets on Monday evening, Nottingham Forest have arranged a deal with Bologna for the sale of Switzerland international Ndoye in a move that will cost in excess of €40m.
There have been some conflicting reports on the specifics of the deal, though. Initial reports claimed that the deal is worth a guaranteed €40m with €3m in bonuses, while Sky Sport Italia claims that the deal is worth €42m in fixed fees, plus potentially another €7m in long-term add-ons.

If Bologna do receive the full €49m quoted by Sky, Ndoye will become the club’s most expensive departure of all time.
A €40m fee, the minimum that Nottingham Forest will have to pay, will still have Ndoye in Bologna’s top three most expensive sales of all-time, behind Riccardo Calafiori who joined Arsenal for a fee of around €48m (£42m) with bonuses included, and Joshua Zirkzee, who joined Manchester United for a fee of €42.5m last summer.
Sam Beukema, who has also left Bologna this summer, will become the club’s fourth most expensive sale once Ndoye’s move is complete. He joined Napoli in a €30m move just over a week ago.
Simone Verdi, who also joined Napoli albeit in 2018, will be Bologna’s fifth most expensive player sale after Ndoye’s move to Nottingham Forest is done, having left the Rossoblu for a reported fee of €24.5m.
