The two city rivals are charging this much for a season ticket ahead of the 2025/26 campaign
Both Bristol City and Bristol Rovers will be starting next season with a completely different mindset to that of 12 months ago.
Bristol City head into the 2025/26 campaign off the back of their first season finishing in the Championship's top six since their promotion from League One in 2015, whilst their city rivals begin life back in League Two after three years in the third tier.
Whilst an outside shot at the play-offs would always be the aim for the Robins, next season will be all about keeping up the momentum from last term, as they know they can be a top-six side. As for Bristol Rovers, the focus now shifts from survival to promotion.
However, has this change in objective affected season ticket prices? After all, Bristol City are now a prospective play-off contender, whilst the Gas are expected to win a whole lot more than just nine of their 23 home games - their 2024/25 record.
The two haven't met competitively in over a decade and haven't played a league game against each other since 2001. So, as another year goes by where the two Bristol clubs likely won't compete on the pitch (barring an EFL or FA Cup meeting), Football League World has seen how the two clubs' season ticket prices compare instead.
Coming off the back of a first season in the Championship play-offs since the 2007/08 season, Bristol City's season ticket prices haven't increased drastically ahead of a season which will provide slightly more expectation than the last ten or so.
Most of the 2025/26 season tickets were snapped up during the renewal and early bird stages, where adult season tickets started from £400 in the Family Area, equivalent to £17 per match.
Prices would then increase depending on which stand the ticket was bought in. The most popular stand in Ashton Gate, the South Stand, had its adult prices at £440, with the Lansdown Stand Centre incurring the biggest season ticket fee at £720 for the campaign.
There are still tickets available in the Family Area and the Lansdown Stand, with prices standing at £421.25 and £741.25 respectively, meaning an extra £20 fee for those who failed to secure the ticket during the early bird period.
This does represent a slight increase on last season, where a season ticket in the South Stand during the same period 12 months ago cost £425. The base ticket in the Family Area for 2024/25 cost £390. Therefore, a £10-£15 increase (approximately 3-4%) has been implemented ahead of the new campaign.
This increase can be seen in every age range except for under-12s, whose prices have been frozen. The cheapest U-12 season ticket stands at £65 for the second successive season.
There has been little change in season ticket prices at the Memorial Stadium ahead of the Gas' upcoming season in League Two.
Prices have been frozen ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, meaning that an adult season ticket price in the terraces, the cheapest ticket, stood at £359 during the early bird period.
We are currently in the second release period of Bristol Rovers' season ticket sales, however, so their cheapest ticket currently stands at £384, which will then increase to £409 on July 1st.
The biggest change to season ticket pricing at Bristol Rovers this campaign comes by way of new age categories. Now, categories for students, under-18s and under-7s "make season tickets more affordable for families, young people and students."
The under-seven tickets are completely free too, meaning that young fans can visit the Memorial Stadium without paying a penny as Bristol Rovers look to remain a family club.
The most expensive season ticket is found in the seated sections of the west and east stands. Currently, a ticket there costs £524, and on July 1st it will increase by £25 to £549.
