Gary Neville's punditry earnings have emerged as he continues to juggle his broadcasting responsibilities with an expanded role at Salford City, where he and David Beckham have completed a major takeover of the League Two side.
In May 2025, Beckham and Neville bought out their fellow Class of '92 teammates whilst bringing in new international investors.
Neville told The Athletic after completing the takeover of Salford, " This is a unique partnership with a diverse range of minds and expertise, held together by a love of football."
The new ownership consortium includes prominent figures in the business world such as Declan Kelly, Lord Mervyn Davies, and representatives from Dream Sports Group, with them reportedly raising $20m to drive the club's ambitions.
This followed Neville's acquisition of Peter Lim's stake in August 2024 - when he became the Ammies' majority shareholder.
With this structure in place, Neville said the aim is to provide Salford with the resources and expertise needed to "drive the club towards sustainability in the next four to five years."
According to the latest industry figures, Gary Neville earns a staggering £1.1m per year from Sky Sports, positioning him as the second highest-paid British football pundit.
This large sum reflects his status as one of the broadcaster's most valuable assets - since he first started with them in 2011 after retiring from the professional game, and it was made permanent from the 16/17 season.
The former England defender's Sky Sports contract covers his work across multiple platforms, including Premier League coverage and Champions League analysis.
His earnings are greater than those of his regular punditry partner Jamie Carragher - who earns a reported £1m annually - and Neville has been allowed to scale back his Monday Night Football appearances to focus on his expanding business interests, which includes a collaboration with NBC Sports in the United States.
Neville's Sky Sports salary forms just one component of his large business portfolio - which has contributed to his estimated net worth of £20m.
His ventures in the business world span multiple sectors, with his Relentless Group leading major property developments, including the £400m St Michael's project in Manchester.
The former United captain's media interests extend beyond television punditry as well - through his successful YouTube channel, The Overlap. Neville co-founded the production company, Buzz 16, that produces it.
Neville is also involved in a partnership with another United legend, Ryan Giggs, through GG Hospitality, which include Hotel Football near Old Trafford and The Stock Exchange Hotel. These investments, combined with his property development activities, show just how he's managed to establish himself beyond the sport.
Salford City finished eighth last season, just one point off the playoffs - and 17 players were released once the campaign concluded. With the Ammies making five summer signings so far (16th July), including former Lincoln City captain Jorge Grant following his release from Hearts, Neville will certainly be hoping that having a bigger role at the club will help Salford get promotion from League Two at the seventh time of asking.
