Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori is on the verge of completing a six month loan deal to join AC Milan, pending a medical today.

Most reports are now in agreement that the 23-year old will fly out to Milan today and complete the deal, and it will include an option to buy.

Matt Law of the Telegraph has delivered his key update on the situation over night, and he has revealed exactly just how much money Chelsea could make if Tomori and Milan chose to exercise their option to buy at the end of the season.

He says that the deal is £25 million, with an potential of £5 million more.

The more you look into this deal the more you understand the option to buy. It seems highly unlikely that Milan will use it, but if they do then Chelsea are getting £30 million for a still largely unproven defender and in this current climate, that is a great fee.
