Manchester United loanee Sofyan Amrabat is one of the Juventus targets to potentially replace Adrien Rabiot who could leave the Allianz Stadium at the end of his contract in June.

Monday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, on page 27, claims the Bianconeri have identified Amrabat and Mikel Merino to replace the France international who is determined to decide on his future at the club before the end of the season.

Bayern Munich and Manchester United are among the clubs interested in signing the 29-year-old on a free transfer, while Amrabat is expected to return to Fiorentina from Old Trafford after a disappointing loan spell with the Red Devils.

This means that Juventus and Manchester United could exchange midfielders without a swap deal because the Red Devils would sign Rabiot without negotiating with Juventus, while the Bianconeri would need to talk to Fiorentina to get Morocco international.

Atalanta‘s Teun Koopmeiners is also a target for both European giants, but a recent report from Sport Mediaset claimed that Chelsea is also interested in the Atalanta midfielder and are preparing a €60m bid to sign him.

What Rabiot said after Turin derby

Talking to DAZN after a 0-0 draw against Torino on Saturday, Rabiot said: “At this moment we have to concentrate on the pitch and the games that need to be played. Everyone is concentrated on that objective, then there will be time to talk about it later.

“Even if I am not here next season, my personal objective is to get Juve back into the Champions League and win the Coppa Italia. Then we’ll talk about it.”
