Borussia Dortmund had a brilliant opportunity to make it to the Champions League quarter-finals after they won the first leg of their last 16 tie 1-0 over Chelsea.

However, the Premier League outfit made a huge comeback at Stamford Bridge to win the second leg 2-0 and advance to the final eight of the prestigious competition.

The Blues made a spectacular start to the game and created several big chances in the first half.

However, they only broke the deadlock after 43 minutes, with Raheem Sterling smashing into the roof of the net after missing his first attempt.

Kai Havertz netted the decisive goal from the penalty spot eight minutes after the break to help Chelsea win 2-1 aggregate.

Bellingham demonstrates his quality at Stamford Bridge

It was a disappointing night for Dortmund but Bellingham played incredibly well, showing why the biggest clubs in Europe want to sign him.

The 19-year-old squandered a great chance in the second half, but his overall performance was excellent.

He won five aerial duels, completed five dribbles and had 77 touches in the game.

The midfielder also made four tackles, one interception and three clearances (as per WhoScored). He was arguably the best Dortmund player on the pitch last night.

Bellingham has made huge progress since he switched Birmingham City for the Black and Yellows in 2020.

He has made 120 senior appearances for Dortmund, netting 20 goals.

The talented youngster is contracted to the Bundesliga outfit until 2025 but could leave BVB in the summer.

Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester City are all interested in signing Bellingham in the next transfer window.
