Having joined Millwall from Sheffield Wednesday in 2012, initially on loan, the Lions wasted no time in making Mark Beevers’ stay permanent in January 2013.
In the end, across four seasons with the club – three as a permanent player and one as a loanee – the central defender would go on to make 150 Millwall appearances.
From defence, he managed to score nine and assist three, one of which goals came in Millwall’s League One play-off defeat at the hands of Barnsley in 2016.
Beevers would depart after that season, linking up with fellow League One side Bolton Wanderers that summer.
That was six years ago now, though, so with that in mind, we thought we’d take a quick glance at how the now 32-year-old is getting on in 2022.
Following his stint at Bolton, in which he achieved a promotion to the Championship and 132 appearances for the club, Beevers moved back to League One to join Peterborough United.

After racking up 101 appearances for Posh, though, and having been relegated this summer after making just 14 appearances for the club last term, Beevers now finds himself playing overseas, after his contract with Posh was terminated by mutual consent.
At present, the defender is on the books at Australian A-League side Perth Glory.
Having only arrived this summer, he is yet to feature for the club, with their 2022/23 campaign getting underway at the end of the first week in October.
Perth Glory finished the 21/22 A-League season bottom of the table, but will be hoping that 22/23 brings about different fortunes when they get underway against Western Sydney Wanderers on October 9th.
It will certainly be interesting to see how much Beevers features this upcoming campaign, and how he gets on with football and life down under.
Having signed a two-year contract in Australia, the centre back does have a decent amount of time to make an impact for his new club.
