Hansi Flick’s appointment at Barcelona has been nothing short of a game-changer for the club. Since his arrival, there has been a noticeable shift in the team’s performance, both domestically and in Europe.

One of the most striking outcomes of Flick’s management has been the development of several young players. Over the past three months, these rising stars have seen their market values increase significantly.

The list of players benefiting from this surge in value includes highly regarded names like Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez, as well as newer arrivals who, despite their relatively low market value, have still seen growth.

Among these players are Sergi Dominguez, Gerard Martin, and the injured Marc Bernal, all of whom have shown potential under Flick’s guidance.

However, there are some players, such as Hector Fort and Inaki Pena, who have not experienced a significant increase in their value, possibly due to their more limited appearances and involvement with the senior team.

A look at the values

Transfermarkt reveals that five La Masia-trained players alone now have a combined market value of €370 million.

These players are Yamal, whose value is now set at €150 million, Gavi at €90 million, Fermin Lopez at €50 million, Pau Cubarsi at €40 million, and Alejandro Balde, also valued at €40 million.

Furthermore, when taking into account the rise in market valuation, Casado has gone from €2.5 million to €15 million.

The likes of Pau Victor, Bernal and Pablo Torre are all valued at €5 million, a jump from €1.5 million, €1 million and €3 million respectively. Additionally, Gerard Martin has a market value of €3 million (from €0.4 million) and Dominguez is valued at €1 million (from €0.1 million).

The rise in market values is a direct result of the team’s exceptional performances on the pitch. Barcelona’s offensive record is the best in Europe, surpassing that of all other top teams.

Flick has trusted these youngsters

It is not just the wins that have caught attention, but the way the team is playing. Under Flick, Barcelona are showcasing exciting, attacking football that has impressed fans and pundits alike.

What stands out even more is the fact that Flick has relied heavily on the club’s young talents, integrating them into the first team, which has been key to the team’s success.

Despite injuries depleting the squad at times, Flick has given opportunities to youth players from the reserve team, and their performances have been more than impressive.

The competition among the La Masia players has been fierce, and in just three months under Flick’s management, their market values have seen an impressive rise.

According to Transfermarkt, the value of the club’s nine youngest players has increased by a total of €85.5 million during this short period.

Among the most significant increases, Yamal stands out as the player whose market value has surged the most. At the beginning of the season, Yamal was valued at €120 million, but his current market value has risen to €150 million.

This represents an impressive 25% increase in just three months. Fermin, too, has seen his value skyrocket, jumping from €30 million to €50 million, marking an even higher percentage increase of 66%.

Flick’s management is not just about results; it is about nurturing talent and providing opportunities for young players to shine. This philosophy is clearly paying off, both in terms of player development and the club’s overall success.

Barcelona are not only winning matches but doing so with a fresh, exciting style of play that could shape the future of the club for years to come.

With a talented group of young players emerging, the future looks bright for Barcelona under Hansi Flick’s leadership.
