How Belgium will most likely line up against Wales | OneFootball

Belgium play host to Wales in their first match of the international break, and need a win if they want to finish top of their Nations League group.

Here’s how Roberto Martinez will most likely set up his side…

GK: Thibaut Courtois – Courtois is one of Belgium’s most important players and will definitely start.

RCB: Leander Dendoncker – With Dedrick Boyata not fully fit, a replacement will be needed, and it will probably be Leander Dendoncker as it was in the last international break.

CB: Toby Alderweireld – With Boyata injured and Jason Denayer without a club, Alderweireld’s place at the centre of defence isn’t under threat.

LCB: Jan Vertonghen – Neither is Vertonghen’s on the left.

RWB: Thomas Meunier – Meunier will surely keep his place ahead of Timothy Castagne given his decent start to the season at Dortmund.

RCM: Axel Witsel – Witsel has been playing in defence for Atletico Madrid, but is too important to the Belgium midfield to be moved.

LCM: Youri Tielemans – Tielemans had made a decent start to the season at Leicester and so should retain his place, unless Roberto Martinez decides to move Kevin de Bruyne further back.

LWB: Yannick Carrasco – Martinez has tried Castagne and Thorgan Hazard in this position, but Carrasco is most likely to play.

RW: Kevin de Bruyne – There’s a chance that De Bruyne will play alongside Witsel with Leandro Trossard playing here, but the Man City man playing in a free role in the front three is slightly more likely.
